One of New York’s most enduring DJ exports, Aaron James has spent the last couple of decades rocking parties across the globe. With skills forged in NYC’s vibrant and eclectic club scene, Aaron is versatile with a capital V while still dropping his signature style in every set. His dynamic repertoire, unique sound, and consummate professionalism are sought after by some of the most influential personalities and organizations in the world. 

 

Currently Aaron resides in Hong Kong where he’s made a name for himself as a headlining regular and Resident at such hotspots as The Iron Fairies, Ophelia, Dragonfly, Portico, to name a few.  And also as the supporting act for a number of Industry notables including hotshot House producers Mat.Joe and Vanilla Ace; Rare Grooves icon Norman Jay; Studio 54 legend Nicky Siano; and Underground sensation, Gaby Endo. 

 

Aaron James made his definitive mark headlining 2008’s Rock The Vote Tour, crisscrossing more than 50 U.S. cities while helping to register over 2.4 million voters in the largest youth voter drive in American history.  On tour he partnered with such iconic acts as The Beastie Boys, Sheryl Crow, Eve, TV On The Radio, Santigold, Bootsy Collins, Talib Kwele, Jack Johnson, Bow Wow, Solange Knowles, Hawthorne Heights, Jazmine Sullivan, Buckethead, Tenacious D., actors Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Laura Dern, as well as Ms. America, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., among others.

 

The rest of Aaron’s resume reads like a Who’s Who. He’s opened for performances by Elton John, Eminem, Pitbull, Lil’ Kim, Kid Rock, Groove Armada, The Wailers, PM Dawn, Michael Franti (Spearhead), ?uestlove (The Roots), Poet Named Life (Black Eyed Peas), Graeme Hamilton (UB40/Fine Young Cannibals), House legends Barbara Tucker and Joey Negro … as well as performed along with some of the top dj/producers on the planet such as: John Digweed, Alex Pall (The Chainsmokers), Mark Ronson, DJ Cassidy, Tomcraft, Danny Rampling, Jeremy Healy, Jan Kindcaid (Brand New Heavies), Havana Brown, Lee Cabrera, Kid Chris, Bart Claessan, and Detroit Techno legend Juan Atkins. 

 

Aaron James has played post-concert for The Pretenders, Pet Shop Boys, and The Neptunes / N.E.R.D … and he’s rocked parties for Barack Obama‘s presidential campaign, then Senator Hillary Clinton, Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Luciano Pavarotti, porn star Jenna Jameson, Russell Crowe, Derek Jeter (New York Yankees), Ron Wood (Rolling Stones), magician David Copperfield, and artist David LaChapelle just to name a few.

 

His corporate client list is extensive as well. Aaron manned the decks for industry giants as MTV, ABC, NBC, the NBA, Playboy, GQ, Vogue, Maxim, Vanity Fair, Elle, The Wall Street Journal, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Travel & Leisure, as well as Maxim, FHM, Black Book, Interview, Lucky, and Gear magazines - and headlined events for Calvin Klein, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Donna Karan, DKNY, Diane von Furstenberg, Prada, Giorgio Armani, A/X, Miss Sixty, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Esprit, Puma, Kenneth Cole, Anne Klein, Marithe & Girbaud, Nautica, Facconable, Asprey, Bulgari, MAC, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Redken, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Veuve Cliquot, Grand Marnier, Red Bull, and many others.  He also was featured talent at red carpet film premieres for ‘Sex and the City 2’, ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, ‘Men In Black 2’, ‘Crash’, ‘Big Fish’, ‘A Beautiful Mind’, and ‘Catch Me If You Can’.
